This movie catches my attention simply because of the lines. The story is predictable, so the fun of watching it is to watch actors act. Hugh and Sandra are good at handling something delightful, and together they work well. Over the years we have seen many actresses starring opposite to Hugh Grant. As Mr. Grant has his unique style that hardly changes, his character goes well with a woman that is a little bit strange in some way. In Two Weeks Notices, Sandra plays Lucy Kelson, a lawyer with a remarkable resume, strong sense of justice and funny characteristics. When you want to name some actresses that can make fun of herself and make that seem so natural, you may think of Sandra Bullock. I think this is really a gift as for other actresses like Jodie Foster, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, or even Kate Winslet, we usually don’t think that is possible for them. Although everyone can have a funny, delightful side, it is not easy to make audience to accept that, and that has something to do with the image/perception we have for the actors/actresses. Later on in her career, Sandra proves that she can play serious characters. Although we are delighted by her comedies, she is still trying to widen the spectrum of her performance. Must say Lucy Kelson is a hard-working lady!
Before you came to my life, I was capable of doing all kinds of decisions, now I can’t! I am addicted! I have to know what you think…what do you think?
George, I think you’re the most selfish human being on the planet.
This is silly. You’ve met everyone on the planet?
