前陣子看的一部電影。那天心情不算是很好，偶然看了這部電影，看到了結尾，突然讓我覺得很安慰，好像冥冥之中，突然收到一個安慰的訊息。
這部由吉卜力工作室出品的電影，改編自英國作家Joan G.Robinson的同名作品When Marnie Was There，描述一位內向害羞的少女杏奈，不知是否因為親生父母提早過世的經歷，又或者是和養母的相處不算融洽，以及患有氣喘的緣故，平日她總覺得自己和人格格不入，也很不喜歡自己。後來她來到養母親戚所住的鄉間養病，卻意外發現海邊的一棟破舊大宅，和一名神秘的金髮少女瑪妮。杏奈對瑪妮充滿了好奇、崇敬、以及感激，她覺得瑪妮擁有許多美好的特質，而瑪妮願意接納她，也讓她很開心。不過慢慢地，杏奈也感覺得到某些不尋常之處，到最後瑪妮的真正身分和秘密終於揭開，杏奈的人生也在這過程中，經歷了些許變化，她不再那樣討厭自己，而她也交到了朋友。
電影中對於杏奈和瑪妮的關係處理，的確是讓人覺得有些同性情愫摻雜其中，然而也可以說瑪妮是杏奈想要追尋的「更好的自己」，但是到最後，杏奈可以坦然面對自己與他人，接受她自己的面貌，原來覺得自己很糟糕的感受，就跟著煙消雲散了。
電影的主題曲Fine on the Outside是由一位歌手Priscilla Ahn所演唱，非常感人的一首歌曲。好像不管是哪個年紀、甚麼時候，歌詞中的感覺，我們都曾經歷過，也能深深體會。這首溫柔的歌，以及故事的結尾帶來的淡淡驚喜，都像是一個溫柔的安慰，讓我原本處在風暴之中的心情，平復了下來。
